The Newport Cultural Center Friends of the Library group is a 501 (c) 3 organization, focused primarily on supporting the mission and programs of the NCC. New members are always welcome to join the Friends.

The NCC Friends of the Library work to support the needs of our library. It is thanks to their support that we offer free audio- and e-book downloads to our patrons. They also sponsor our Maine Discovery Museum passes and annual State Park pass. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, we recently expanded our large print book selection. If you are interested in joining the NCC Friends of the Library group meetings are held monthly each Tuesday at 11am at NCC.
