Reader’s Corner
We offer a variety of opportunities for readers at the Newport Cultural Center. With more than 15,000 books in our own collection, we can obtain almost any book a patron desires through inter-library loan.
To obtain a library card visit our facility at 154 Main Street, Newport, Maine with a form of ID showing current address. Library cards are free for residents of the following towns: Newport, Plymouth, Etna, Palmyra and all RSU 19 STUDENTS. (RSU 19 students includes Corinna, Plymouth, Palmyra, Hartland, St. Albans, Newport, Etna, & Dixmont.)
Out-of-town memberships are $25 annually and if you are a senior (60+), library cards are $15.
Patrons with e-readers (like Nooks and Kindles) will appreciate the free downloadable e-books we offer through MaineInfoNet.org, used to download e-books and audio books.
