5K Race/Walk and 1M Fun Run + Half Marathon (Rain or Shine)

The Newport Cultural Center 5K race/walk and 1 mile Fun Run will follow a gentle, shaded course through the neighborhoods near and along Lake Sebasticook in Newport. Walkers are welcome to participate. The first 25 registrants will receive a T-shirt.  The pre-registration fee is $20.  Race day registration is $25.  Children 12 and under can participate in the Fun Run for $5 each.  Families can participate in the race/walk and/or Fun Run for $35 per family.

Race day registration will take place from 8:00-8:30am\out behind the Newport Cultural Center.  The Half will begin at 8:00am, then Fun Run at 8:30 and the 5K race at 9:00. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest boy and girl participating in the Fun Run.  There will also be prizes awarded to the fastest male and female participants in the 5k run. Half-Marathon winner receives $250 sponsored by the Riverwak Center. Post-race refreshments provided.

We are currently seeking sponsors to help underwrite this community event. Our sponsors will be promoted in our race materials and at the event on race day. Sponsors are also welcome to provide materials about their business for distribution at the race.
